Accommodation

The CRC Association has negotiated special rates for conference delegates at three hotels.

Bookings for the conference venue, QT Canberra, will be managed by the CRC Association and bookings can be made and paid for as part of the online registration process. Please do not contact QT directly.

Bookings for the other two hotels can be made with each hotel directly. Details of how to book with each hotel will be provided when you register for the conference.

For all enquiries, please contact Karen Mobbs, Conference Organiser, email conference@crca.asn.au or phone 0421 100 488.

Please book your accommodation early, regardless of whether you choose one of the hotels listed here or another one. Hotels in Canberra generally book out during a Parliamentary sitting week.

The deals listed here will only be available until 21 April (30 days before the conference starts). No rooms will be held for us after that date.

Hotel Hotel

NewActon Nishi, 25 Edinburgh Avenue, Canberra ACT 2601

Hotel Hotel – a place for people people. Hotel Hotel is a collaboration between designers, artists, artisans and fantasists. We love hotels, not for their swank but for reminding us of our transience and the importance of romance. We like textures and patinas that remind us of the bush, big trees, well-worn t-shirts and old wise faces that in every line reflect the enormity and joy of a life well lived.

Rooms

The hotel  rooms have taken inspiration from the Australian shack. Clay rendered walls, salvaged oak beds, overhead rain showers, and (oh my) windows that open. Each room has been dressed with carefully chosen artworks, objects and restored furniture. They reflect our love for the well-made, the curious and the comfortable.

Original roomORIGINAL ROOM ($260 per night)

A king-size bed, a desk in most, views of urban bushland, the internal atrium or Parliament House sitting beyond Lake Burley Griffin.

CREATIVE ROOM ($310 per night)

These rooms have a king-size bed, are larger than the Originals and all have a place for reclining contemplation time.

Apartments

The Hotel Apartments are an ideal option when it comes to short-term accommodation. They give you the freedom to live like a local – you get more privacy (we do come and clean once a week), more room, and you can cook for yourself (if you want). The apartments are perfectly woven around NewActon’s flagship buildings –South and Nishi.

DIA-716NISHI PAD ($200 per night)

Cleverly designed studio-style rooms with a concealed queen size pull down bed. Fully equipped kitchen specked out with energy efficient appliances. Depending on its orientation Pads come with a private balcony or winter garden view. They have cross flow ventilation (without air conditioning) and through floor heat retention for warmth in winter.

NISHI ONE BEDDER ($220 per night)

A balance of natural light, air flow, and far-reaching views. They are designed with cross flow ventilation to ensure coolness in summer and through floor heat retention for warmth in winter. All One Bedroom apartments have been thoughtfully curated with reclaimed furniture. They all feature self-contained kitchens & laundries, featuring energy saving appliances. These apartments are centred around energy efficiency and cross ventilation without air conditioning.

No show policy:

  • No shows will be charged 100% of the agreed accommodation rate for each night that the room was booked for
