Director of Research Services, Macquarie University
Louise Fleck has been the Director of Research Services at Macquarie University since 2009, and has worked at several other Sydney-based universities during her 20-year career in research management. She has worked with individuals and research groups in a very wide range of disciplines, from cultural studies to clinical medicine and from sociology to laser physics. Before becoming Director of Research Services, Louise worked in a variety of areas within research management, including research contract and project management, and research development.
Louise first studied at the ANU, graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws, and has since completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Legal Workshop, ANU), a Master of Laws (UTS) and a Master of Philosophy (Higher Education) (UNSW). She has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ ‘Company Directors Course’ and is on the board of the Australasian Research Management Society and the Cooperative Research Centres Association.
Louise will be chairing a session discussing the achievements of four CRCs, the legacy those CRCs will leave and future prospects for continuing research, Monday 14 May at 11:00 am at Collaborate | Innovate | 2018. The CRCs outlining their achievements will be:
